Virtual tours as protection against Corona

The effects of the coronavirus crisis are also being felt in the real estate market. Many people are wondering: Can I still view a property? The answer is: Yes, you can. Many RE/MAX agents offer virtual tours. If an in-person viewing is truly unavoidable, the recommended protective measures must be observed.

Property owners who need or want to sell a property are wondering how to conduct viewings safely. Despite the coronavirus crisis, viewings don't have to be cancelled if they take place online. But how exactly does that work?

Many RE/MAX agents have been using virtual tours for some time now. Similar to Google Street View, the property can be viewed with a click of the mouse. The RE/MAX agent can even be connected via phone or video conference, so that important information can be provided at any time.

Ask your trusted RE/MAX agent if they can help you conduct a virtual tour. There are many options: via video or a 360-degree tour. If the house or apartment is vacant, the agent can also conduct a live stream via their mobile phone.

In exceptional cases, an on-site viewing can still take place. In such cases, the strictest precautions apply; group viewings are not permitted. For individual viewings, the following guidelines apply as recommended: maintain a distance of at least 1.5 meters and refrain from shaking hands. Furthermore, owners should disinfect surfaces such as door handles, stair railings, and similar items after each viewing. It is essential to ensure that the disinfectant is demonstrably effective against viruses. This information is usually found in the fine print on the bottle

Are you unsure whether you should conduct or attend a property viewing? Call your RE/MAX agent and ask about the options they offer.
