Make room for something new!

Decluttering clears your head

A new year is dawning, and everyone is surely full of good intentions. The inner couch potato is being put on a leash, gyms are booming, and fat cells are melting away. But there's also a very simple way to cleanse mind and soul: decluttering!

Getting rid of accumulated clutter not only creates order in your living environment, but also makes room in your mind for new ideas and inspiration. A tidy home has a harmonizing effect on the subconscious and allows energy that was blocked by old junk to flow again.

The Three-Box Method

The first box is for the trash. This is for anything that hasn't been used in twelve months, anything broken or worn out. Important: Dispose of box 1 as soon as possible so you're not tempted to "rescue" anything..

The second box is for things that might still be useful to others. Anything too good for the trash or clothing donation bin can be sold through the local newspaper or online; perhaps there's a flea market? But don't wait too long: if box two hasn't disappeared after four weeks, it's ready for the bin!

Box number 3 is your personal treasure chest. It's for keepsakes that are dear to you but would only gather dust on shelves. You can store this box in a closet, for example, and look into it from time to time to recharge. But be honest when sorting: only things that are truly important to you belong in this treasure chest!

Have fun 🙂
