• RE/MAX Convention Lisbon: What we learned from the best in the industry

In October 2017, the RE/MAX family from across Europe gathered for the industry's largest annual event: the RE/MAX European Convention – this time in Lisbon, Portugal . For us at the RE/MAX Real Estate Office in Saarlouis, it was a particular pleasure to be part of this international event. Our team included Harry Mohr, Monika Ruhland, Doris Pohl, and Petra Mohr.

An event full of energy, exchange and inspiration

The opening was already quite something: The reception at the creative LX Factory ensured a relaxed start and many first encounters with colleagues from all over Europe – including many familiar faces.

In the following days, the Pavilhão Carlos Lopes the stage for an impressive mix of knowledge, motivation, and international networking. More than 1,200 real estate agents and franchise partners from Europe, North America, and beyond came together to learn from each other, exchange ideas – and, last but not least, to celebrate together.

Personalities who make a difference

A real highlight were the keynote speakers – internationally renowned personalities whose experience and visions extended far beyond day-to-day business:

• Michael Polzler , CEO of RE/MAX Europe, opened the convention with a clear vision: growth, collaboration and technological advancement as the key to success.
• Richard Robbins , one of the world's most renowned real estate coaches, inspired with concrete impulses for sustainable real estate agent success.
• Christian Bischoff , former professional athlete and sought-after motivational speaker, impressively demonstrated how we can overcome fears through courage and a change of perspective.
• Pellegrino Riccardi and Nils Müller impressed with their unique insights into communication, future trends and intercultural competence.
• Alisée de Tonnac , co-founder of Seedstars World, spoke about entrepreneurial courage and innovation in a global world.
• And Paul Vincenti , international coach and long-time RE/MAX mentor, impressed with his practical sessions for both agents and brokers/owners.

Growing together – in business and as a team

In addition to the lectures, the event offered numerous opportunities for further education, exchange of ideas and networking – for example in the breakout sessions, panel discussions or at the evening events, such as the legendary Fun Night at Campo Pequeno .

For us, it was a wonderful opportunity to broaden our horizons and gather new ideas for our daily office work in Saarlouis. The atmosphere was characterized by appreciation, professionalism, and genuine community – exactly what RE/MAX stands for.

An experience that will last

We say thank you for this impressive convention and are already looking forward to the next RE/MAX highlight. The RE/MAX Europe Convention 2018 will take place in Amsterdam – and we'll definitely be there again!
