For 99 percent of Germans, two aspects are particularly important when it comes to housing: 1. Comfort and a sense of well-being. 2. Location and surroundings. This was the result of a representative survey conducted by the mortgage lender Interhyp. 85 percent of Germans are also satisfied with the comfort and sense of well-being in their homes. And 84 percent are happy with the location and surroundings of their property.

Proximity to shopping facilities is important to 96 percent of respondents, and 79 percent are satisfied with this. Being able to see nature from their window and living close to nature plays a significant role for 94 percent of those surveyed. 84 percent are satisfied with their home's location near nature. And 70 percent enjoy the beautiful view from their window. Likewise, 91 percent place great value on their neighborhood. And indeed, 71 percent of Germans have a good relationship with their neighbors.
