Bring spring into your home!

Create a cheerful atmosphere with simple means.

"Now I finally have time for it!" – this was a phrase often heard in recent weeks. At least the house and garden have benefited from the lockdown restrictions during the coronavirus crisis. People have been working away as if there were no tomorrow: cellars have been cleared out, facades inspected, and even the last cobwebs swept from the dormer windows. Here are a few tips on how you can invite spring into your home.

Blooming life: A plethora of yellows, from lemon to daffodil, alongside fresh greens like lime, birch, and spring green, and a few touches of hyacinth and lobelia blue. Not forgetting fuchsia, tulip red, earth tones, and an airy white – this is roughly the color palette we generally associate with the term "springlike." In any case, nothing looks fresher, more cheerful, or more decorative than colorful spring flowers like tulips, daffodils, and hyacinths arranged in pretty vases around the home.

Colorful sofa cushions: The second tip for a cheerful atmosphere is both effective and easy to implement: Swap plush cushions and fluffy blankets for home accessories made of lightweight fabrics in bright pastel shades. Choose either vibrant colors in an ethnic style or delicate pastel shades. Green, the current trend color, is perfect for spring.

Light and airy curtains: Replace dark and heavy curtains with window treatments made of light fabrics, perhaps with a floral design. The current trends for 2020 prove once again that curtains are by no means only for darkening a room.

Colorful tableware: Serve up a springtime mood! With different colored dishes and colorful bowls as eye-catchers, the table setting appears lively and cheerful.
