Swimming in naturally clean water
What homeowner doesn't dream of their own pool in the garden? In recent years, a third option has become established alongside swimming ponds and swimming pools: the natural or bio-pool. It offers chemical-free bathing fun and also fits into smaller gardens.
A natural swimming pool is an attractive alternative for homeowners who find traditional swimming pools too chemically intensive, but also don't necessarily want to be splashing around in a pond with frogs, newts, and other creatures. Furthermore, it can be implemented in smaller gardens, as it doesn't require a planted regeneration zone like a traditional swimming pond.
Say goodbye to red eyes and dry skin: Thanks to a special filter system, the natural swimming pool requires no chlorine. Phosphate filters and microorganisms purify the water naturally and in an environmentally friendly way, preventing algae growth. Leaves and debris are removed by arc-shaped screen skimmers. Pool robots are also used. The chemical-free treated pool water is pure and fresh, and feels as soft as the water of a crystal-clear mountain lake.
Water-saving and environmentally friendly
While a chlorinated pool has to be emptied at the end of the swimming season, releasing thousands of liters of chlorinated water into the environment, a natural swimming pool only needs to be filled once – a water saving that benefits both the environment and your wallet. Furthermore, natural swimming pools require little maintenance and significantly less upkeep than chlorinated pools.
Swimming pool owners can easily convert their pools to a natural filtration system. While building a new natural filtration pool is more expensive than a conventional swimming pool, this is offset by lower operating costs. A natural filtration pool with a total area of 45 square meters, a swimming area of eight by four meters, and a depth of 1.5 meters will cost approximately €35,000 to €40,000.
